King: Keep Working Hard
PUTRAJAYA: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah has urged the people of the federal territories to remain steadfast and work hard amid uncertainty in the global economy.
This followed the slowdown in the United States, Europe and Japan, the inflationary pressure due to the hike in commodity prices, the debt crisis in Europe and the slowdown in global trade, he said.

2012 - Hopes, Wishes And All That
NICOL DAVID
Undisputed squash queen and record six-times world champion
HOPE: To see squash as an Olympic sport hopefully by 2020. I will do everything I can to achieve that.
HOW: Redouble our efforts in convincing the International Olympic Committee (IOC) that squash is worthy of being in the Games. We will be making our picth to the IOC later in the year.
WHAT: I intend to set the tone by making a winning start to the year at the World Series Finals in London. Then it is the usual mix of tournaments until the World Open in December.
Wish: Winning a seventh world title at the Cayman Islands, which is one of my favourite destinations in the world.

Bound For Olympic Glory
2012 - Looking ahead
IT is inevitable in an Olympic year that the focus and expectations will be on the handful of Malaysian athletes who will be competing in London come July.
The athletes from the Road to London programme that was first initiated in 2009 by the Sports Ministry will reach their final destination when the Games start and it will be considered a failure if no medal is won after the months of preparation.
