Synchronised swimmer Katrina Ann Abdul Hadi, who bagged all five gold medals at stake, was rewarded with RM11,000 for her outstanding performance.

Her sister, gymnast Farah Ann who won a silver in the uneven bars, got RM3,500.
Swimmer Khoo Cai Lin, who won a gold and two silver medals, received RM10,000. Bowlers Alex Liew and Zandra Aziela Ibrahim Hakimi were presented with RM7,500 and RM6,000 respectively while fencer Joshua Koh I-Jie was given RM6,500 for his gold and bronze medal effort.
Under the incentive scheme, the MSNS had offered RM500 to each Selangor athlete who represented Malaysia in the SEA Games. A total of 58 athletes from Selangor took part in the SEA Games.
For the winners, the MSNS had pledged RM5,000 for an individual gold medal, RM3,000 for a silver and RM1,500 for a bronze.

“We are certainly proud of our athletes’ contribution to the nation’s success in the SEA Games.
“The cash incentive should be an inspiration to them to strive for excellence in higher level competition like the Asian Games, Common-wealth Games and Olympics.’’ said Khalid.
